So I made it to South Korea!!! After three legs, about 20+ hours in the air, a couple layovers, a taxi ride, and meeting my new boss, I was introduced to my apartment late last night about 11pm local time (that’s about 10am for all of you still in the Eastern time zone). I got some stuff unpacked, put some sheets on the bed, and crashed shortly thereafter.
Today has been spent watching Korean TV (mostly in Korean, but a handful of channels show English movies with Korean subtitles) and exploring the neighborhood – which is actually what I’m doing right now. Most places are closed on Sundays (such as the local PC bang – think a Korean internet cafe), but the Samsung store isn’t. Here you can buy your brand new laptop, washing machine, or anything else with a Samsung name on it.
There will be lots more to come in the next few days once I get my laptop connected to the internet, but for now, it’s time to explore what I can within walking distance on this cool and rainy Sunday afternoon!
