As with most other places in Korea, shopping around, seeing the room(s) available, and comparing prices are the usual order of the day. I would also expect to pay a bit more during the high season (presumably coming to an end at the end of this month). The Lonely Planet makes a couple recommendations – Chowon Hotel and Carib Beach Hotel, supposedly near or on the beach. If you go, follow up and tell the world 🙂
