@harjono: check the bottom of the post (just past the ratings) – basically, just take a local bus from the Donghae Bus Terminal. Ask around for the bus to 천곡천연동굴 (cheon-gok cheon-yeon dong-gul) and you'll be set.

I have a plan to go to Gangwon-do. Thanks for this great blog. I think I will visit this great cave. Do you know the way to go to this cave from Donghae Bus Terminal? (I will arrive by Bus from Samcheok Bus Terminal or Haesindang Park). After visiting this cave, I will go to Donghae Station to take the train to Seoul. Do you know the way to go to Donghae Station from this cave? How long does it take by walking? Or should I take bus or taxi to or from this cave? Thanks

@The_Mon: It's a relatively constant cool – definitely warmer than the cold winter we've been having, but I felt no need to take off any layers. All the same, it's wise to dress in layers, remembering that most caves have a constant year-round temperature. Take that, 'four distinct seasons'!
